WHO WE ARE

We’ve gathered a world class team of experts from across AAA gaming, with decades of experience developing and launching award-winning shooter, MMO, RPG, and action titles. We’ve grown to 50+ devs, and strive to keep our small tight-knit atmosphere that values ownership and taking challenges head on.

In 2021, we shipped the 3rd person survival shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite on PS4, PS5, Xbox One/S/X, and PC, worldwide, in both digital stores and physical discs.  

Our home base is in San Jose, California, but we offer full remote positions with employees working from across the United States.

How we work

We celebrate both the skills of the individual and collaboration across the studio. Every day we learn from one another, grow together, and help each other to do the best work of our careers.

We value authentic communication—jokes in meetings, honesty in failures, celebration in successes—and every voice is one we want to hear from. 

We operate under a flat business structure, so while one person may oversee big picture stuff and another may focus on the details, we are all working collaboratively toward the same goal: to make great games.

Community

Working at Cold Iron isn’t always about games, it’s also about giving back to the community.

That’s why we are proud partners of Girls Who Code, a non-profit organization that assists young women in entering into the technology field. We work with GameHeads to share knowledge with the next generation of developers. We also partner with organizations like  Extra Life, a non-profit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals.

Cold Iron encourages our employees to give back, providing full paid work days for anyone who takes a part in our community programs. This isn’t extra volunteer work outside of regular job duties – we’re excited to make this a paid part of the job for those who choose to volunteer.
